This year, 2023, Cryoviva Singapore will complete 9 years of operations in Singapore, our own little red dot. It has been a glorious journey thus far, despite some challenging times in between that included the Covid-19 pandemic. Not only did we weather the once-in-a-lifetime challenge but also grew during that time.

We now look forward to accelerating our growth and fulfil our mission to let every family in Singapore and beyond discover the benefits of cord stem cell banking.

The Singapore ethos in our DNA

We are well aware of the excellent reputation of and expectations from Singaporean companies, especially in terms of delivering world-class quality of service. As a Singaporean company, we consider it our responsibility to live up to those high standards. That is why, we have relentlessly pursued- right from our inception- a goal to become the best cord stem cell banking company not only in Singapore, but also around the region.

Towards that end, we have taken steps to go beyond the statutory licenses and approvals that we need and instead attain accreditations and certifications from globally recognized bodies. A case in point is that we became the first cord blood bank in Singapore to be accredited by AABB for both cord blood as well as cord tissue banking here. Similarly, we have attained several other quality certifications that validate adherence of our processes to stringent international standards. See some of these here.

Like Singapore, we are not one to rest on our laurels. We are constantly looking to raise the bar and improve our proposition to our esteemed customers. This endeavour to improve continuously spans our entire operations: product/service offering, processes, technology as well as customer support. The benefits of this approach will be experienced by both our existing customers as well as those who become part of the Cryoviva Singapore family in the future.

Spreading our roots: deep and wide

When we set up a family cord blood bank in Singapore, there were already a couple of other players serving this market. However, being committed to serving the Singapore market, we went about establishing ourselves as one of the top family cord stem cell banks in Singapore methodically and diligently. Our goal was clear: establish deep roots in our home market of Singapore first.

As we started succeeding in achieving that goal, we felt it was only appropriate to let these roots spread wide as well and stamp our presence in other countries. So far, we have carried this torch as a Singapore healthcare services company in several international markets, especially in the Middle East. We are excited about many such overseas sojourns that are in the offing in the very near future. We remain local at heart, but global in our actions!

Debunking the myth of a “foreign company”

During the various interactions our Singaporean team has with young couples and aspiring parents who are evaluating cord blood banking, we have often been asked if Cryoviva is a “foreign company”.

The short answer, of course, is: No. We are not sure if this myth has been perpetrated by some with vested interests, but we certainly would like to debunk this myth.

We are a Singaporean entity, with a strong and growing local team that is driven by the proven Singapore ethos. We have invested significantly in building world-class capabilities in our home base of Singapore and our strong, visionary promoters are committed to a long-term vision for the company.

The track record that Cryoviva Singapore has established in nine years is a testament to our capabilities as well as our commitment. With the robust foundation that we have built in Singapore, we look forward to serving a lot more families in Singapore in the future.
